Desmond Davis Otwal

Mr. Otwal is the Senior Partner of the firm. He has years of experience as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a Trainee Arbitrator. In addition, he is a Legal Advisor to the Office of the Senator, Narok County. Mr. Otwal holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL. B) from Moi University and a Postgraduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law and Certification from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIARB) among other qualifications.

He has a sharp legal mind and is reputed for keenness and efficiency in his solution-oriented practice of the law. He has in-depth experience and offers tailored legal solutions with which has advised and acted for clients in various areas of the law including but not limited to Dispute Resolution; Commercial Law, Constitutional and Human Rights practices, Employment, Policy & Legislative Drafting, Joint Ventures, Mergers & Acquisitions and Family & Succession matters.

A seasoned litigator, Mr. Otwal has appeared in court and arbitration proceedings within the Republic in several commercial disputes. He also has vast experience in Alternative Dispute Resolution having successfully handled various high profile commercial arbitrations, mediations and other forms of ADR both as a member and counsel as well as trainee of various premier ADR training programmes.

Well versed in trial preparation and procedure, research and drafting legal documents, Otwal has prosecuted and defended Organizations and exposed his knowledge to students and colleagues.
